Why Choose Helcon Piles

Helcon Screw Piles offer a series of steel screw piles with capacities from less than 100 kN through to 2000 kN (SWL)

Helcons' Screw Piles unique design features include:

  • The Helix - our conical helix offers a larger geotechnical contact area for founding than traditional single plate helix. Our helix is welded to the end of the pile shaft as opposed to traditional screw piles where the plate helix is welded to the pile itself, this allows Helcons' screw piles to utilise the full structural capacity of the pile shaft.

  • The Helix shape - the pointed tip of our conical helix allows the pile to penetrate into rocky and shaley ground. Being a conical helix it cannot bend or fold up against the pile shaft as a plate helix can.

  • The Female Drive Coupling - the design of our coupling allows it to easily disconnect from the drive tool once the pile is installed and allows the quick attachment of extension pile shafts. No welding is required on site to add extension pile shafts. The coupling allows reverse winding of the pile to remove and re-install.

  • Pile Extension Shafts - the positive locking action of the male coupling fitted to pile extension shafts removes the need for welding on site.
